Digital platforms have become a critical stage for far-right movements in the US.
This book shows how white nationalist networks, including the Alt-Right, exploit the Internet’s openness and techno-publicity to spread ideology, organize and maintain visibility online. Analyzing interfaces, website infrastructure and user-generated content, the book reframes online extremism as a product of capitalism as much as ideology. It highlights how platforms and profit structures shape reactionary media.
Offering a bold intervention for critical media studies, this is a call for reimagining the networked public sphere and understanding how technology, power and online politics converge today.
