When a young man joins a neighbour for a hunting trip, he has no idea what adventures await him. While learning about animal tracking and weather patterns, the young man witnesses a feat of strength, visits with a giant, listens to talking foxes, and shares tea with a shape-shifter.
The magical intersects with traditional knowledge in this wild and wondrous tale.
Atuat Shouldice is from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. He is passionate about hunting and fishing, and spending time on the land with his family. He has worked in environmental technology, as a motorsport technician, a heavy equipment operator, a resource officer, and a guide. He is also a photographer.
Amiel Sandland is an illustrator living in the Toronto area. He studied illustration at Seneca College, eventually specializing in comic arts and character design. He has also dabbled in layout, comics, and props making. Rarely found without a pen in hand, he enjoys drawing animals, monsters, and plants.
