An interactive set of coloring pages depicting all fifty-four Torah portions for adults and kids alike—with accompanying commentaries to invite reflection, engagement, and delight.
This coloring book is designed for the creative student who wants to leave their mark on the Torah and its stories. Intricately illustrated by artist Keely Angel, The Whole Torah reenvisions the archetypal scenes of the Torah, transforming them into feminist, mystical, creative, and embodied images that offer doorways of study and imagination for all of the little and not so little students of the Torah. Each illustration is paired with a commentary written by Rabbi Zachi Asher, offering introductions to new students, choice gems for seasoned adepts, as well as meditations and creative activities for further reflection and learning. The result is an engaging, accessible artifact that invites every reader to engage with the mystery, wisdom, and magic of the Torah.
Rabbi Zach Fredman is the Creative Director of the Temenos Center for the Arts, a New York non profit organization that creates projects, wisdom and ceremonies that live at the intersection of spirituality and the arts. Zach is composer, oud player, and bandleader of the Epichorus, an ensemble performing new music rooted in classical Arabic maqam and Hebrew poetry. They have released three studio albums and a book of stories. Zach plays the strings and makes pie and fairy wands with his family in the Hudson Valley.
