The tomb is regarded as one of the most important tombs at Sheikh Abd el-Qurna and the research on it was documented by the Center of Documentation and Studies on Ancient Egypt (CEDAE).

Mohamed Abdel Latif El-Tanbouli was appointed as a resident archaeologist during the relocation of the temple complex of Abu Simbel (1964–68). He was the first Egyptian to preside over the publication section of the Center of Documentation and Studies on Ancient Egypt (CEDAE) and is the author of nine books.
