Topotek 1 gehört zu den international bekanntesten deutschen Büros für Landschaftsarchitektur. Rosemarie Trockel ist aktuell eine der bedeutendsten deutschen Künstlerinnen und machte sich mit unkonventionellen Arbeiten einen Namen; ihr Werk wurde vielfach u.a. in New York, Chicago, auf der Dokumenta und der Biennale Venedig ausgestellt. Der neu entstandene, spielerische Park in München ist das Ergebnis ihrer Zusammenarbeit: Er überdeckt auf 300 Metern Länge eine Bahnstrecke und schafft dringend benötigten, charaktervollen Freiraum für das Quartier Theresienhöhe. Die Monographie beleuchtet die neue Parkgestaltung in verschiedenen Essays und dokumentiert den Entwurfs- und Entstehungsprozess.

Brigitte Franzen is a specialist in cultural studies and director of the Ludwig Forum für Internationale Kunst (Ludwig Forum for International
Art) in Aachen. She curated skulptur projekte münster 07 (sculpture projects münster 07). Publications on the garden in contemporary
art as well as on landscape theory.
Pietro Valle studied architecture at IUAV in Venice and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He is Professor of Design at the University of Ferrara and has published widely on architecture and the visual arts.
