LI Fangchun, Ph.D. (2008), is currently a fellow and professor at the Institute for Advances Studies of Humanities and Social Sciences at Chongqing University, P.R.C. He has published many articles on the history of the Chinese communist revolution.

Brian DeMare, Ph.D. (2007) is Professor of History at Tulane University. He has published multiple books and articles about the Chinese revolution, including Tiger, Tyrant, Bandit, Businessman (Stanford, 2022) and Land Wars (Stanford, 2019).

Mark Czellér received his PhD in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford in 2023, where he is currently Departmental Lecturer. His research interests are in the political and social history of the Mao era, particularly the designation and treatment of "class enemies.”
