What does it mean to become a father at a young age today?
This volume brings together research about the lived experiences of fathers aged 25 and under. Drawing on diverse contexts across the Global North and South, it explores how young fathers form identities and relationships within diverse social, welfare and policy environments.
Moving beyond deficit-based perspectives, the book highlights their social engagement, responsibilities and commitments to family life.
By combining insights from leading scholars within a shared conceptual framework, it provides a comprehensive international comparison of young fatherhood and offers valuable implications for policy, practice and future research.
