Major historical figures in Tito’s life include Herbert Marcuse and Michel Foucault, Che Guevara and the Black Panthers, Simone deBeauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre, and his own father, the artist and Spanish Civil War Republican General Fernando Gerassi.
