Find Minnesota’s most beautiful waterfalls with this full-color guide to 117 locations, complete with stunning photography of each.
Waterfalls create a feeling of serenity, a sense of restrained power. Their grandeur takes our breath away. Their gentle sounds complement periods of meditation. Let Master Photographer Lisa Crayford guide you to the top-ranked waterfalls in the state, as well as her “secret waterfalls” in Waterfalls of Minnesota. Use this updated edition to build your waterfall bucket list—117 gorgeous locales that decorate Minnesota’s landscape.
The waterfalls are organized geographically and ranked by beauty. Start with the ones nearby, then get away to discover those farther afield. These natural wonders prove that the Land of 10,000 Lakes is also home to some of the most picturesque waterfalls in America!
Bridge views, short hikes, secluded waterfalls in urban areas, and hidden gems along the North Shore—experience them all. Lisa’s incomparable photography makes this more than a guidebook; it’s a book you’ll want to keep on your coffee table.
Inside you’ll find:
- Information you need: directions, distance, hike difficulty, and more
- An expert look at each locale: description of the trail and viewing tips
- Details about each waterfall: crest, height, and waterway
Lisa Crayford was born and raised in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She has been taking photographs since age 11, and her love of photographing waterfalls began in 1985 with a family trip to the beautiful Lower Falls at Yellowstone National Park. Since 1999, Lisa has owned and operated the Country Gallery Photography Studio in Kingston, Minnesota. She began exploring and photographing all corners of the state—including its waterfalls—in 2012.
