Javier Ruescas was born in Madrid and holds a degree in Journalism. He has published numerous novels that have made him one of the best-known children’s and young adult writers among Spanish and Latin American readers. His works include the children's series Malada Madrina (Edelvives) and La abuela espía (Edebé), co-written with Andrés Quinzaños; the novels Pulsaciones and Latidos (SM), co-written with Francesc Miralles; Prohibido creer en historias de amor (Penguin Random House); and Lo que pasó (Crossbooks). In 2015, he won the Hache Prize for Literature.
Besides writing, Javier is currently working on various audiovisual projects as a screenwriter. He has worked as an editor and has participated in numerous international conferences, talks, and round tables on new technologies, young authors, and the state of young adult literature in Spain. Vincent Looks Different is his first picture book.
Bea Enriquez was born in Madrid (Spain) and studied Illustration at the School of Arts and Crafts No. 10. From 2005 to 2010, she collaborated with the Madrid Professional Association of Illustrators (APIM). Her work spans a wide range of fields including mural painting, picture books, textbooks, poetry, textile design, advertising, logo design, comics, and graphic novels.
