Petr Kostka is a nature lover, historian, and adventurer at heart. He studied history at Charles University, then became a journalist, spokesperson, and now works in production. He has traveled nearly every corner of the world—always with hiking boots and sometimes a climbing rope in his backpack. Petr is a mountain climber, cyclist, and alpine hiker. He’s also a proud dad of three kids, who inspired him to start writing—first for children's magazines and then books that combine his love of language and storytelling. Petr believes reading can still be magical, even in today’s tech-filled world, and hopes many children still love picking up a real book and getting lost in its pages. He resides in Brno, Czechia.

Jiri Dusek is a passionate stargazer, science writer, and creator of many shows at the Brno Planetarium. He earned his PhD in 2002, focusing on mysterious carbon stars. Today, he works as the director of the Brno Observatory and Planetarium. Since 2018, he’s also been the commander of a magical 3D planetarium ship—and starting in 2024, he leads Earth’s very first contact center for alien civilizations, located (of course!) at the Brno Observatory. Jiri loves writing about space, science, and nature—especially for kids. When he’s not exploring the universe, he enjoys scuba diving, backpacking adventures, and spending time with his two kids, his wife, and his trusty telescope. He resides in Brno, Czechia.

Hannah Abbo is a self-taught illustrator originally from Brighton, UK. When she’s not drawing, she loves making ceramics, visiting botanical gardens, and growing vegetables. She currently lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal, with her partner and child, their (slightly) overweight cat, and 15 houseplants.
